Politicians at it F**kin’ Again: The Hemp Ban No One Asked For!

By Franny Tacy, the first female to plant hemp in North Carolina
Founder and CEO, Franny’s Farm & Franny’s Farmacy

Well, here we f**kin’ go again.
Politicians are at it — ego-trippin’ and empire-buildin’ — instead of listening to the people.

Ole Mitch McConnell and Andy Harris are pushing a “legacy” bill that would BAN HEMP nationwide. Yep, you read that right. Mitch’s farewell gift to America is to kill the plant that built this country .

What an idiot move — like cutting off your whole damn foot because you’ve got an ingrown toenail.

🌿 We Stand for Common Sense, Not Chaos

We in the hemp industry have always supported commonsense regulation :
21+ access
School zone protections
Third-party testing
Transparent labeling
Child-proof packaging

We want safety, standards, and accountability.
But instead of working with us, they’re trying to erase us — destroying farms, small businesses, and the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of hardworking Americans.

🚁 My Story — From Pharma to the Farm

When I planted hemp in 2017 , it was still federally illegal .
North Carolina was just the third state in the U.S. to grow under a pilot program.

Franny Tacy founder of the revolutionary brand Franny’s Farmacy . Known for being North Carolina’s first female hemp farmer and a driving force to establish the modern American hemp industry in conjunction with regenerative agriculture, Tacy is a pioneer whose life is a cyclone of activity.

💊 From Pills to Plants

I spent over a decade in pharmaceuticals before I walked away from that system to return to my inner knowing — plants over pills .

We, the people, are taking our health into our own hands. Hemp is helping veterans with PTSD, seniors with arthritis, and people with chronic pain. It’s time we stop criminalizing wellness.

🎬 History Repeats — The Hollywood Lesson

When Edison’s trust crushed indie filmmakers with iron patents, rebels fled east to west, birthing Hollywood from nothing.
They flipped short reels into cinematic epics, ignoring threats until the monopoly shattered in court.

Now it’s our cue:
Stand loud. Build bold. Or let giants own the show.
(For the full grit, read The Story of Hollywood by Gregory Paul Williams.)

🚜 America’s Always Been Built by the Rebels

America’s born from sweat — garage hackers, farm inventors, dreamers bleeding for breakthroughs — until the giants swoop in to buy them out and build empires.

Hemp hustlers grind today, turning dirt to dollars in the post-2018 boom, only for Big Pharma and Agri-corps to lobby for rules that’d nuke 95% of small farms.

We are the roots.
Fight the stranglehold, own your fire, or watch ‘em harvest our harvest.

🌎 A Global Sisterhood of Medicine Women

Ancient women used cannabis for all-no apologies. Scythian priestesses, 2500 BC, smoked it through bronze braziers for childbirth, cramps, menopause blues, grilled it in bronze bowls for soldiers’ guts and midwives’ nerves;

Mayan healers in Peru soaked it in tea for feverish kids, aching dads, howling women in labor. No gender gate, no patent stamp-just resin on lips, pain off backs.

Real power: no middlemen, just root and ritual. Now, empires hide it, but history’s roaring back.

The oldest recorded use of cannabis? Women’s health and childbirth.
And we’re still fighting to free it in 2025.

👵 What About Our Seniors and Veterans?

We have helped hundreds of thousands of Seniors, veterans, parents, care-takers and people  who rely on hemp every day for natural relief and alternatives to pharmaceuticals..
What happens when it’s banned?
Do we tell Grandma to “just live with the pain”?

You think she won’t find it?

She’ll get it from her grandkids — and it’ll all move underground.

We only transition to a huge, thriving, Black market with no regulations, like 100 steps backwards with no path forward except to start arresting everyone and bring down hands of enforcement. It’s not worked real well for us so far and to attack our own people, no way, not again. We’ve come too far!

That’s not safety.
That’s stupidity.

⚠️ The Real Threat

Congress is trying to codify a nationwide hemp ban in the federal appropriations bill.
Mitch McConnell & Andy Harris are ignoring 72% of voters who support safe, legal hemp.
Hundreds of thousands of jobs and tens of thousands of farms are on the line.

This is not just a bill — it’s a war on wellness .
